Apophyllite is common worldwide in many basalt and diabase quarries, though large, well-formed crystals are limited to several important localities. By far, the largest crystals are from the Deccan Traprocks of India, and can be found in abundance in the zeolite-producing basalt quarries there.
Apophyllite is calming and tranquil, and encourages honesty to self and others. It is excellent in stressful situations, and for clearing negative thought patterns.
