About our Mullein-Infused Moringa Oil

Mullein-infused moringa oil combines the deep moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and nutrient-rich properties of Moringa oil with the soothing, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral benefits of Mullein. This blend is highly effective for relieving earaches, calming irritated skin conditions such as eczema and rashes, reducing acne, hydrating dry skin, and providing topical pain relief for sore muscles. Traditionally used as a herbal remedy, it is renowned for treating ear infections, reducing inflammation, and soothing skin conditions such as eczema and rashes. Additionally, it acts as an emollient to hydrate the skin, helps reduce joint and muscle pain, and is applied topically to treat wounds, burns, and congested skin.

Key Medicinal Benefits of this Blend

  • Ear Infection Relief: Mullein flower/leaf oil is a classic remedy for soothing earaches and reducing the risk of infection. It is often used to relieve ear pain and reduce inflammation in the ear canal.
  • Skin Care and Healing: Due to its emollient and anti-inflammatory properties, it helps soothe eczema, dermatitis, acne, rashes, and insect bites.
  • Anti-inflammatory & Pain Relief: The oil helps reduce swelling and ease pain in muscles and joints.
  • Respiratory Support (Topical): When rubbed on the chest, it may help alleviate congestion, similar to its use as a tea, which is popular for loosening mucus, treating bronchitis, and calming dry coughs.
  • Skin Conditioning: Its high mucilage content makes it excellent for moisturizing dry, itchy, and irritated skin.
  • Antiviral and Antibacterial Properties: Studies suggest that Mullein contains compounds (saponins and flavonoids) that can combat various bacterial infections and reduce skin inflammation.
  • Nerve Pain: Mullein is a well-known analgesic for nerve pain, particularly effective for all types of back and spinal pain. It can also help with neuralgia. Although the flower oil is more potent for nerve pain, Mullein leaf oil can also be effective.

How to use this Blend Medicinally:

  • Direct Application: Applied to skin rashes, burns, or wounds. It can also be applied to joints or areas of nerve pain.
  • Ear Drops: Gently warmed and applied to the ear canal to relieve discomfort. One or two drops are enough.

Key Magickal Benefits of this blend:

Mullein-infused oil is a potent magical oil rooted in folklore, primarily used for protection, banishing negative energy, and courage. It wards off evil spirits and is used in ceremonies for purification, protection, courage, and health. Known as a "hag’s taper," it is deeply associated with fire, illumination, and connecting with the Fae realm. Its folklore links it to ancestral communication, often serving as a safe substitute for graveyard dirt and a beacon that lights the way for spirits in dark, liminal spaces. Mullein's ability to thrive in barren or disturbed soil reinforces its magical reputation as a plant of resilience and a protector for navigating "disturbed" or dangerous spiritual territory.

  • Protection & Warding: Used to banish negativity, ward off evil spirits, and protect against malevolent forces. It is often used to consecrate magical tools or to anoint the body as a protective barrier.
  • Courage & Confidence: Historically, travelers carried Mullein to instill courage and deter wild animals, making the oil an excellent tool for confidence-boosting rituals. To use it this way, anoint the wrists and temples with the oil.
  • Spirit Work & Intuition: Associated with enhancing divination skills, grounding, and communicating with the spirit world. To use it this way, anoint the forehead, divination tools, or candles for candle work.
  • Healing & Health Spells: Mullein oil is used in spells focused on restoring health, especially to soothe inflammation or "loosen" negative energy that has "congested" a person's life. This is generally used in a ceremony by anointing candles or a person.
  • Dream Work: Anointing the temples or a petition paper with mullein oil can encourage peaceful sleep and protect against nightmares.
  • Spirit Work & Necromancy: Mullein is frequently used in ancestor work and, because of its associations with the underworld and protective properties, serves as a safer alternative to graveyard dirt in spells. To use it this way, anoint candles or altar items.

Once you empower your blend energetically, you can still use it medicinally for any of the medicinal uses listed above. But energetically, you should use it only for the intent you empowered it with.
